Before microcontroller manufacturer General Instruments become Microchip Quant already used their famous PIC-controllers in all kind of applications. PIC, abbreviation for Peripheral Interface Controller, was initially developed for printers but after GI bankrupted the new company Microchip brought it on the market as a low cost 8 bit controller for all kind of small applications.
Since 1998 Quant became Gold Consultant Benelux for Microchip. Nowadays they have changed their program and Quant became the status of "Authorized Design Partner".
